The Cool Globes curriculum* is designed to increase awareness of human impacts on our planet, specifically those that contribute to global warming. Teachers can follow the “S-Cool Globes” interdisciplinary lesson plans.
These materials are appropriate for a sixth-grade classroom.
The primary content focus is earth science, with supplemental content in science, English and language, social science and mathematics.
* This curriculum has been designed to meet Illinois State learning standards and benchmarks and reflects three of the four content areas specified by the Chicago Math and Science Initiative: Dynamic Earth, Climate and Weather, and Investigating Energy Resources.
