MiniGlobes
CPS-AREA 2
Joining forces with Area 2 of the Chicago Public Schools, Cool Globes enlisted the bright minds of sixth grade math and science students from 34 schools to create mini-globes that showcase solutions to global warming, as perceived from a child’s viewpoint. The students researched environmentally safe practices and creatively expressed the benefits of those practices through their globes. Ms. Deborah Esparza, Area Instruction Officer for Area 2, says, “We are excited that the students are thinking about a brighter future and have used their creativity to inspire the world about the need to be responsible global citizens. They are providing a necessary and valuable contribution in educating humankind about the planet they will inherit.”
