Big feet are no excuse for a big footprint! One's lifestyle choices, household energy usage, and transportation methods all affect the size of one's carbon footprint. The average person’s carbon footprint is 18 tons of carbon dioxide per year. Sandra Bacon's globe conveys how our carbon footprints have damaged natural habitats and how every living creature depends on Earth's natural balance.
Mini-Globes
This summer from June 11 – September 3, at the Kennedy Center, is delighted to host "Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet."
Sixty miniature Cool Globes will be on display in the Kennedy Center's Hall of Nations and Hall of States. Thirty of these globes, titled "Voices," highlight prominent individuals who have lent their voice to the project and are committed to fight climate change. The remaining thirty globes are titled "Solutions" and highlight simple ideas people can implement in their daily lives to join the fight against global warming.

Cool Globes also closely collaborated with G Fine Art Gallery and Earth Day Network. A selection of Cool Globes will be sold to support Earth Day Network's National Green Schools Campaign.
